Based on true events, Woodlawn follows a 1973 football team that inspired spiritual revival in their community. Many of the games they played had stadiums packed with people which would have been completely impractical to film on set.
So we were brought on to aid the client's comp team with extensive roto and matte services so that CG crowds could be composited into the final shots of this fast-paced feature.
We completed around 20 shots of roto and matte work, isolating the football players, referees and main talent, so that viewers could be immersed in lively football stadiums filled with energetic crowds.
