Josephine, based on true events, is a film about a woman who disguises herself to join the army and find her husband. Set during the Civil War, this indie-project had an ambitious vision that needed creative problem-solving and visual magic.
After three weeks of on-set supervision, we completed 75 VFX shots for this period piece. We transformed an on-set boxcar into an entire train that the characters could interact with and ride around in, we extended a campsite of 30 on-set tents to a campsite of more than 200, and we enhanced battles with gunshots, smoke and blood.
We love teleporting viewers back in time to worlds that are close to impossible to re-create today.
